What We Believe

The Godhead

We believe in the one everlasting eternal God, infinite in power and holy in nature. That this one true God has revealed Himself as Father in creation, through His son Jesus Christ in redemption and as the Holy Spirit in emanation (1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, 2 Corinthians 5:19).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, in the fullness of time God sent forth His son made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that are under the law (Galatians 4:4-5). That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19). That no man can come unto the Father but by and through the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood. That the Son of God is the only hope of this world.

Repentance and Water Baptism

We believe in repentance to God, confessing ourselves as sinners, receiving forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood which made atonement for sin, witnessed by the definite change from sin to righteousness (Acts 17:30, 11:18, 2:38-39).

We believe that water baptism (immersion) is for all believers and should be administered in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to Acts 2:38, 10:48, 19:5. Fulfilling St Matthew 28:19 and St Mark 16:15-16

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the endowment of power for Christian service. That the baptism is for all believers who seek and ask for the same. That the baptism is a distinct, separate and subsequent experience to conversion (Matthew 3:11, Luke 24:49, 53, Acts 1:4-8 and Luke 11:13).

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, infallible in it’s original writings.

Holy Communion

We believe that all followers of Christ should partake of the Communion of the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of His death until He comes again (Luke 22:17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-24).

Gifts of the Spirit

We believe that the 9 gifts of the Spirit should be manifested in the Church today, and that all Spirit-filled believers should have one or more of these gifts for the edification and up-building of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

We believe that Spirit-filled believers will produce the 9 fruits of the Spirit in their lives (Galatians 5:22 and 23).

Second Coming of Christ

We believe that Jesus is coming again in person just as He went away. This was clearly set forth by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and was preached and taught in the early Church by the Apostles; hence the children of God today are looking forward to His glorious event (Acts 1:11).
